Pia is a Manhattan-based journalist with editorial experience covering fashion, beauty, culture, travel, and all things lifestyle. Her work has appeared in Observer, Cultured Magazine, and L’OFFICIEL USA, where she reported on Fashion Week, fashion and beauty trends, celebrity news, and the latest must-haves (with an emphasis on makeup), among other things.
About
Education
I graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University in May 2024. There, I majored in Communication & Culture and minored in Marketing.
At the moment, I’m pursuing my Master of Science degree in Journalism at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. So far, I’ve had the pleasure of working under the guidance of esteemed faculty like Margaret Sullivan, Keith Gessen, Alexis Clark, Leena Sanzgiri, Jacob Kushner, and Daniel Alarcón.
A little about me
I was born in Los Angeles but raised in Manila, Philippines. As a member of the class of 2020, I graduated high school on Zoom (though we had a photo-op a few months later). After over a year of social distancing, I finally moved to New York City in September 2021, just a month before I turned 19 years old.
From the second I first visited the city in ninth grade, I knew I always wanted to be here. So, I pulled out all the stops to make that happen!

When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me strolling SoHo and Nolita, scouring nearly every boutique for style inspo with an iced latte in hand (regardless of how cold it may be). If not, I may be at Sephora swatching every lip liner and blush shade known to man.
Other than that, you’d probably catch me sitting in a café reading a celebrity memoir or the latest edition of Vogue or Elle—depending on my mood.
